Doru is a Romanian soldier on his first mission to Afghanistan. Laila is an Afghan girl. They've met for a brief second and from that moment their destinies became intertwined. This film, finding itself on the border between documentary and fiction, tells the stories of a soldier marked by the brutality of war and that of a young girl who had been in the wrong place, in the wrong time. The director combines archival footage from the war in Afghanistan with beautifully shot personal images, in a film about the cruelty of war, from the perspective of both the invaders and of the civilians trapped within.

A young couple of social media influencers, Octav and Lia, pose as the "perfect couple" in front of the camera, filming a reel for Instagram. As the day fades and the artificial light replace the natural light, the filters are off, and behind the smiles, a toxic relationship is revealed.

Eva flies back from France expecting a simple funeral. What she gets is a hunchbacked grandma, a furious village priest, and a coffin that just won’t fit. With the church refusing to bend and the body refusing to straighten, Eva is forced to navigate small-town absurdities, family pressure, and funeral logistics that defy common sense.

The year is 1972, two years before the regular newsreel produced by the Sahia Studio – known as The Week in Pictures – was discontinued. Sahia started producing the newsreel at the beginning of the 1950s, as an extension of the Sound Newsreel produced by the National Cinematographic Office. Production ceased in March 1974, after newsreel had been made obsolete by television news.
