In this silent melodrama Sir Melmoth Craven is running against John Orme for a seat in Parliament. Orme is an honest man, but Craven is on the shady side. For campaign money, he borrows money from an equally shady establishment called Gordon, Ltd. Orme's sweetheart, Margaret Garth, becomes infatuated with Craven, much to the dismay of her mother, Enid.

Midnight Molly' is hit by a car while evading the police, and mistakenly identified as the wife of John Warren, candidate for mayor, whom she resembles. The real Mrs Warren has run off with another man, George Calvin, and John Warren is happy to recognise Molly as his wife. Molly continues to impersonate his wife on her recovery, saving Warren from the consequences of a divorce scandal. Calvin learns of the deception and tries to blackmail Warren, without success. A detective pursues Molly, but only gains fingerprints of the real Mrs Warren. Mrs Warren and Calvin are killed in a motor car accident, leaving Warren and Molly free to marry.

Tom Conlin, an Irish cop walking a beat in an Italian neighborhood, falls in love with Tita Sartori, the daughter of a florist. Tita returns Tom's affection but keeps him at a distance, believing him to be married; However she is also wooed by an unscrupulous politician of considerable wealth.....

Although interested in Bart, Prue senses he is being paid to watch over her-- so she decides to elope with the handsome Rolf.

It's 3:00 AM at the Firewater Club, and Stanley has had more than enough to drink. When he tries to take over leading the orchestra, the manager - a former boxer - lets him know that he needs to restrain himself. But it's not long before Stanley causes another disruption anyway, and when he then tries to dance with the manager's wife, the manager's patience finally runs out.
