Saga sem gerist eftir að heimurinn hefur gengið í gegnum mikla eyðileggingu, og gerist á útjaðri jarðarinnar, í eyðilegu landslagi þar sem hið mannlega er ekki lengur mannlegt, og allir berjast fyrir lífi sínu. Í þessu umhverfi býr Max, bardagamaður sem er fámáll og fáskiptinn, eftir að hann missti eiginkonu og barn eftir eyðilegginguna og ringulreiðina. Þarna er einnig Furiosa, bardagakona sem trúir því að hún nái að lifa af ef hún kemst yfir eyðimörkina, aftur til heimalands síns.

Addi er ungur drengur sem hefur gaman af leikföngum. Samtals á hann tugi leikfanga og þykir afar vænt um þau öll. Eins og gengur og gerist hjá ungum krökkum er það alltaf eitt leikfang sem stendur upp úr. Uppáhalds leikfang Adda er kúrekabrúðan Viddi, heiðarlegur fógeti úr villta vestrinu. Hin leikföngin lýta upp til hans og er hann einhverskonar foringi hópsins og hlýða allir því sem hann segir.

Að temja drekann sinn 2 gerist um fimm árum eftir að þeir Hiksti og Tannlaus sameinuðu víkingana og drekana svo úr varð órjúfanlegur vinskapur á milli þeirra. Nú skemmta þau Ástríður, Hornasi og öll hin sér daglangt í drekakappflugi, nýjasta æðinu á litlu eyjunni Birkey þar sem víkingarnir eiga heima, á meðan Hiksti og Tannlaus hafa mest gaman af því að fljúga um ókunnar lendur og skoða ný svæði. Í einum slíkum leiðangrinum finna þeir félagar íshelli þar sem hundruð villtra dreka eiga heima. En ævintýrið verður alvarlegt þegar nýr óvinur skýtur upp kollinum sem ógnar tilveru bæði dreka og manna. Til að vinna bug á hættunni þurfa þeir Hiksti og Tannlaus að standa saman sem aldrei fyrr enda er hinn nýi óvinur þeirra stórhættulegur.

The Flying Doctors is an Australian drama series produced by Crawford Productions that revolved around the everyday lifesaving efforts of the real Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia. It was initially a 1985 mini-series based in the fictional outback town of Cooper's Crossing starring Andrew McFarlane as the newly arrived Dr. Tom Callaghan. The success of the mini series led to its return the following year as an on-going series with McFarlane being joined by a new doctor, Chris Randall, played by Liz Burch. McFarlane left during the first season and actor Robert Grubb came in as new doctor Geoff Standish. The series' episodes were mostly self-contained but also featured ongoing storylines, such as Dr. Standish's romance with Sister Kate Wellings. Other major characters included pilot Sam Patterson, mechanic Emma Plimpton, local policeman Sgt. Jack Carruthers and Vic and Nancy Buckley, who ran the local pub/hotel, The Majestic. Andrew McFarlane also later returned to the series, resuming his role as Dr. Callaghan. The popular series ran for nine seasons and was successfully screened internationally.
