Ljónsunginn Mufasa er einn og týndur á gresjunni. Hann hittir annan viðkunnalegan ljónsunga, Taka, sem er af konungsættum. Þessi kynni setja af stað víðáttumikið ferðalag ólíkra vina í leit að örlögum sínum.

Teiknimyndin Rio segir frá bláa páfagauknum Blu, en hann býr ásamt eiganda sínum í bókabúð í smábænum Moose Lake í Minnesota í Bandaríkjunum. Hann hefur aldrei lært að fljúga en hefur hlotið ástríkt uppeldi hjá Lindu, eiganda bókabúðarinnar. Þegar Linda kemst að því að ekki aðeins eru bláir gaukar af þeirri tegund sem Blu er afar fágætir, heldur einnig að annar fugl af sömu tegund hafi fundist í Rio de Janeiro í Brasilíu leggja Linda og Blu í langt ferðalag til Suður-Ameríku, þar sem það á að para hann saman við hinn fuglinn, sem heitir Jewel. Jewel reynist afar falleg og heillast Blu umsvifalaust af henni, en hrifningin er ekki gagnkvæm, sem gerir samband þeirra afar stirt. Þegar Jewel ákveður svo að flýja vandast málin, því hún og Blu eru fest saman með keðju, auk þess sem Blu er ófleygur. Því eru góð ráð dýr þegar veiðiþjófar ná svo í skottið, eða öllu heldur stélið á þeim.

Myndin fjallar um líf Tarsans apafóstra. Tarsan var munaðarlaus lítill drengur sem var alinn upp af apa að nafni Kala. Hann hélt að aparnir væru fjölskylda sín, þar til hann bjargar Jane Porter sem er í rannsóknarleiðangri í skóginum. Hann kemst þá að því að hann er maður. Núna þarf Tarsan að taka ákvörðun um það hvorri fjölskyldunni hann tilheyrir.

Lífið á ísöld heldur áfram sinni vanagang en breytingar og ný ævintýri eru í aðsigi. Skrat heldur leitinni áfram að hnetunni sinni ástkæru en kynnist um leið Skröttu og verður skotinn í henni. Manni og Elín eiga von á erfingja og Manni er kvíðinn um að ekki sé allt tilbúið fyrir fæðinguna. Dýri er búinn að fá nóg af því að vera höndlaður eins og hver annar heimilisköttur og veltir því fyrir sér hvort hann sé að verða of latur? Lúlli óskar þess að eignast fjölskyldu og stelur því risaeðlueggi sem verður til þess að hann endar í dularfullum og hættulegum undirheimi. Vinir hans verða að koma honum til bjargar en lenda um leið í miklum hættum og ævintýrum og verða að forðast allar þessar hættulegu risaeðlur. En þá kynnast þau eineygðum merði, Móða sem veiðir risaeðlur sér til skemmtunar.

Drengurinn Mowgli heldur til mannaþorpsins með Bagheera, vitra pardusinum. Á leiðinni hittir hann djasslegan Louie konung, dáleiðandi snákinn Kaa og elskulega, glaðlynda björninn Baloo, sem kennir Mowgli „nauðsynjar“ lífsins og sanna merkingu vináttu.

Myndin gerist meðal annars á heimsmeistaramótinu í fótbolta árið 2014 í Brasilíu. Einnig koma við sögu ungar þeirra Blu og Jewel, en tveir þeirra eru karlkyns, og einn er kvenkyns, og sá er hræddur við að fljúga. Eins og þeir vita sem sáu Rio þá voru þau Blu og Jewel einu páfagaukarnir sem eftir lifðu af sinni tegund, eða það héldu þau alla vega þegar þau hittust. Þegar fréttir berast af því að náttúruvísindamenn hafi uppgötvað vísbendingar um fleiri páfagauka af þeirra tegund, djúpt inni í Amazon-frumskóginum, kemur auðvitað ekkert annað til greina hjá þeim hjónum en að fljúga á svæðið ásamt ungunum sínum þremur og fá málið á hreint. Í ljós kemur að vísbendingarnar voru réttar og um leið komast þau Blu og Jewel að því að tegund þeirra var ekki í eins mikilli útrýmingarhættu og talið var. Málið vandast hins vegar fyrir Blu þegar hann lendir í því mesta og versta mótlæti sem hann hefur lent í til þessa: Tengdapabba!

Dag einn heyrir fíllinn Horton (Jim Carrey) neyðaróp. Ópið kemur frá pínulítilli rykögn. Horton er vingjarnlegur og ráðagóður fíll. Hann ákveður að vernda litla rykið. Myndin er byggð á sívinsælli barnabók eftir Dr. Seuss. Hún er framleidd af sömu aðilum og gerðu Ice Age myndirnar.

Tarzan is a series that aired on NBC from 1966 – 1968. The series portrayed Tarzan as a well-educated character, one who, tired of civilization, had returned to the jungle where he had been raised. The show retained many of the trappings of the classic movie series, including Cheeta, while excluding other elements, such as Jane, as part of the "new look" for the fabled apeman that producer Sy Weintraub had introduced in previous motion pictures starring Gordon Scott, Jock Mahoney, and Mike Henry. CBS aired repeat episodes the program during the summer of 1969.

Amazon was a syndicated television show created by Peter Benchley. It was developed by Canadian production companies Alliance Atlantis Communications & WIC Entertainment and German company Beta Film GmbH. The 22 episodes of the series were in first-run syndication between 1999 and 2000. The drama series focused on the six survivors of a crashed airline flight in the Brazilian Amazon jungle. The group soon comes into contact with a Native American tribe, and relations are anything but friendly. The group is taken in by a mysterious tribe, who descended from 16th century British colonists who were lost in Amazon. Relations with the Chosen are tenuous at best. Most of the group escapes the Chosen only to stir up a hornets nest with a tribe of cannibals, led by an insane American woman bent on domination of all the local tribes. The first season ended in a cliff-hanger, and a second season was never produced. The series retained sufficient interest that it was released on DVD in 2011. A novelization of the 2-hour pilot was written by Rob MacGregor, and a mass-market paperback was released by Harper on 8 Aug 2000. The German title was Amazonas - Gefangene des Dschungels.
