One of them was an inhabitant of Lviv who spent several years in a Soviet labor camp. After the war, he moved to a former German guesthouse. The action of the film takes place today. The son of the former owners, who was 12 years old at the outbreak of the war, comes to the town where the guesthouse was located. There is an unusual meeting of two aging men who, against their will, have been torn from their places of grew up and spend their entire lives away from their homeland.
