David Portnoy, un 15enne fanatico di birdwatching, pensa di aver fatto la scoperta di una vita. Così, alla vigilia del nuovo matrimonio del padre, fugge per viaggio epico con i suoi migliori amici per consolidare il loro posto nella storia birdwatching.

Brad Harris ha 36 anni, è divorziato e vive con i genitori. Se la madre lo sostiene nella sua passione per il bird watching il padre costituisce un ostacolo. Brad però ha un idolo: Kenny Bostick, che ha vinto la competizione denominata "The Big Year", una gara che consiste nel riuscire, nell'arco di un anno, a vedere il maggior numero di specie di uccelli. Bostick, che ne ha individuati più di 700, teme che il suo record possa essere battuto e torna a competere nonostante il parere contrario della moglie. Oltre alle sue imprese e a quelle di Brad, che ha vinto le resistenze paterne, seguiamo in azione Sturat Preissler, un non più giovanissimo executive che trova la scusa del Big Year per cercare di staccare da un lavoro che non lo interessa più.

Per salvare il proprio ristorante dal fallimento, un ristoratore finge di aver avvistato una rara specie di anatra nei pressi della sua proprietà.

Comedic ornithological series, Painting Birds with Jim and Nancy Moir will follow prolific artist Jim and his wife Nancy as they explore some of Britain’s best beauty spots, joined along the way by a few famous friends. Their challenge? Create an original piece of bird art celebrating the unique species native to that region over the course of a weekend. Accompanied in each episode by local twitchers, artists and conservation experts, Jim, and Nancy will be guided through forest and fen as they venture through wild countryside and local bird sanctuaries to gather inspiration. They’ll spend meditative weekends sketching and painting their feathery subjects, tackling everything from grouse to goshawks and bitterns to bearded tits.

Bill Bailey plays host to two teams of well-known personalities – made up of a keen famous ‘twitcher’ and another who’s really not that interested in ornithology – as they compete against one other in testing twitching tasks. Each episode, the beloved British comedian sets the famous faces six ornithological obstacles, including four distinct birding challenges, and two bonus campsite ones. These range from straight bird races (spotting as many different species in a set time) to drawing, photography and counting contests. Whoever wins the most rounds will be named top twitchers. The series takes Bill and the competing couples to some of Britain’s most beautiful and best birdwatching locations, from the tranquillity of Rutland Water to the sheer spectacle of thousands of migrating geese in the Solway Firth to the rugged beauty of the Isle of Mull.

Birding with Bill Oddie was a British TV programme, about natural history, presented by Bill Oddie. Three series were made. Birding with Bill Oddie was only loosely scripted and a lot of Bill's dialogue was spontaneous - he would start to talk and the cameraman would film him. The reason that the viewer almost feels that they are in the hide or on the site with Bill, is that video was used rather than film.
