Oshin is a Japanese serialized morning television drama, which aired on broadcaster NHK from April 4, 1983 to March 31, 1984. The series follows the life of Shin Tanokura during the Meiji period up to the early 1980s. Shin was called "Oshin", which is an archaic Japanese cognomen.

In this world a goddess bestows each person with a class and skills that will determine one's life direction. Despite being born the son of a Sword Princess and an Archmage, Arel has not received a class or skills. So, Arel must rely on his own grit, determination and natural talents to pursue and achieve greatness—becoming a new kind of hero. A hero without a class!

Centers on para-athletes who all meet an outcast sports scientist named Ren Narita. The anime will have four stories about four different sports: wheelchair basketball, track and high jump, goalball, and paralympic swimming.
