Derry, Irlanda del Nord, 30 gennaio 1972. Il governo inglese ha imposto forti restrizioni alle libertà individuali e, di conseguenza, la Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association ha organizzato una marcia pacifica di protesta. Il Generale Ford ha predisposto un piano che dovrebbe al contempo limitare il percorso della marcia e consentire anche di arrestare i 'teppisti' che quotidianamente si scontrano con l'esercito. Dopo un iniziale situazione di confronto pacifico i corpi speciali perdono il controllo ed iniziano a sparare sui manifestanti.

Dopo un processo iniquo, orchestrato dall'ispettore Robert Dixon, che ha coordinato arresti e interrogatori preliminari, tutti vengono condannati. Dopo 15 anni Gerry e il padre, che dividono la cella, scoprono il vero attentatore, Joseph McAndrew. La polizia non ha voluto riaprire il processo, e Giuseppe, tramite l'avvocatessa Gareth Peirce, cerca di dimostrare la verità.

Saoirse è una bambina particolare, a 6 anni ancora non riesce a parlare e prova una strana e fortissima attrazione per il mare. La casa sul faro nasconde tanti segreti e oggetti magici, e quando Saoirse scopre due di questi, una conchiglia regalata dalla mamma a Ben per sentire il suono del mare e un vecchio mantello della madre, innesca un magnifico viaggio negli abissi marini tra foche e personaggi fantastici. Scopriamo così che Saoirse è una delle "selkies", creature magiche che vivono a metà tra terra e mare e che con il proprio canto possono risvegliare le vittime della strega Macha, private di emozioni e trasformate in pietra. Saoirse è la prescelta e con questo suo compito inizia un immaginifico cammino in cui Ben metterà in gioco la propria vita per salvare quella della sorellina.

Ros na Rún is a long-running Irish soap opera produced for the Irish language television channel, TG4. It was originally broadcast on RTÉ One in the early 1990s before the existence of TG4. C.U. Burn is a cult Irish language TV comedy broadcast on the Irish-language television channel TG4. It tells the tales of the County Donegal undertakers Charlie and Vincie Burn who run a turf-fueled crematorium. They are rivaled by another group of more professional undertakers led by Frank Doyle. Republic of Telly is a TV review and magazine programme on Irish public broadcaster, RTÉ Two. Presented by comedian Kevin McGahern, the programme is intended as a satirical examination at television, mocking various Irish and British TV channels, including sketches and special guests making an appearance from the shows. An added feature of the show is its correspondents Jennifer Maguire and Bernard O'Shea. Maguire conducts vox pops and celebrity interviews, whereas O'Shea conducts "live on the spot reports". Series two also introduced comedians The Rubberbandits as reporters, bizarre weathermen and agony aunts. The series has contributed to the chart success of The Rubberbandits single "Horse Outside", as well as "Everybody's Drinkin'" and "Big Box Little Box" by Damo and Ivor.
