È il caso raro di un film zoocentrico senza bamboleggiamenti che può essere visto con piacere anche dagli adulti. Topi veri addestrati si alternano e si mescolano con gli animatronic degli Stan Winston Studios e con la computer animation. Prodotto per la Dreamworks. La coppia di N. Lane (americano e noto in TV) e L. Evans (inglese dalla mimica sopra le righe) richiama Laurel & Hardy che, però, nei loro anni d'oro si limitavano ai 2 rulli (20 minuti circa).

Il padre scopre che si tratta di un Dibbuk Box, un oggetto che contiene un'entità demoniaca che cerca di impossessarsi di un essere umano.
