Stick Around was an unsold television pilot for ABC, starring Andy Kaufman. Only one episode was ever made, airing on May 30, 1977. Kaufman portrayed Andy, a run-down servant robot in the future. He used the same voice of his "Foreign Man" character that would one day become the signature voice of Latka Gravas on Taxi. The pilot also starred Nancy New and Fred McCarren as Elaine and Vance Keefer, a married couple in the year 2055. The plot of the episode revolves around Andy the robot's inadequacies as an older model, and whether or not they should replace him. Vance owns an antique store, and there are a lot of jokes that revolve around his misconceptions about the antiques he has, all of which are common household appliances of the 1970s. Vance is very frustrated by Andy's incompetence but eventually he and Elaine decide to keep him. Andy would revive the robot character to some degree in the 1981 film Heartbeeps.

Hi Honey, I'm Home! is an American television sitcom that ran from July 19, 1991, to July 12, 1992 for 13 episodes. Each week, a new episode of the series aired on ABC as part of its Friday night TGIF lineup. The same episode would re-air Sunday night on Nickelodeon as part of the channel's Nick at Nite lineup. ABC stopped airing the series after the sixth episode of the first season. The show's second season only aired on Nick at Nite before being cancelled in July 1992. The series was taped before a live audience in Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios Florida.

The show consisted primarily of live action performances, interspersed with Muppet segments, courtesy of Jim Henson Productions. The Muppets included original characters designed specifically for the show, serving as a Greek chorus and commenting on the situations of the human characters, but not actually interacting with them. The show's theme song was composed by Malik Yoba &and Raliegh J. Neal II. The duo also composed other songs for the series and served as musical creative supervisors.
