Ruthlessly determined to succeed at any cost, Amos Mason ( Willard Louis ) comes to New York with his fiancee, Ann Sherman ( June Marlowe ). By unscrupulous dealings and with the use of Ann's savings, Amos meets with considerable success and casts aside Ann, who is forced to take a job as maid in the Graves mansion. Amos begins to court Shirley Graves ( Irene Rich ) and causes Ann's dismissal. Mrs. Graves ( Helen Dunbar ) persuades Shirley to marry Amos, despite her love for the penniless Douglas White ( John Patrick ). Ann marries James Warren ( Robert Agnew ), an architect, whom Amos hires to build a mansion, and Ann tells Shirley of Amos' previous perfidy. Shirley has an affair with Douglas White but becomes disgusted with illicit sex when she believes him to be unfaithful to her. Amos' schemes fall flat, and he is arrested for swindling. In prison he repents, Shirley's attitude toward him softens, and they are reconciled when he is freed.

Shortly after his marriage, a millionaire begins an affair with another woman. His wife tries to win him back by starting an affair herself.

A couple are at the theatre with a playwright friend. At the end of the play the jealous husband strangles his wife to death. When the play ends, the man talks to his friend about such a nonsensical finale, telling the author that no man with any sense ever gets jealous enough to choke his wife in these modern times. The playwright decides to test this supposedly perfect couple about their happy feelings for each other.

When a film star is killed in a car crash during the shooting of his latest pictures, the producers replace him with a near identical man and try to pretend he is still alive.

The story, set in the 19th century, revolves around the hot-blooded Jussi, a young farmer, and his friend Antti and their brushes with the local nimismies (sheriff) and the häjyt (badmen). The film, shot on location on the plains of Ostrobothnia, conveys a good sense of its unique landscape. Both Järviluoma and the director, Jalmari Lahdensuo were from Ostrobothnia and the film suc­cessfully expresses a feeling of the true spirit of the province.

The film takes place during the pre-revolutionary years and the initial period of the Soviet regime. At a monastery shelter in one of Russia's western towns, orphan Yulka gives birth to a son from the shepherd Jerome. Matron of the shelter Pavlikha as directed by the father kills the newborn baby and disposes of the corpse in the Jewish Quarter. The Black Hundreds are spreading the rumor that the murder was committed by the Jews for ritual purposes. Mayhem arises which is supported by the authorities of the city. The church refuses to shelter Jews fleeing from the violent thugs.

Based on a novel by William J. Locke, Stella Maris is a remake of the 1918 Mary Pickford vehicle of the same name.

After years of service, the Captain of the Setuckit Life Saving Station on Cape Cod retires, Calvin Homer, the second in command, Calvin Homer expects to be promoted; but the appointment goes instead to Bartlett, a religious fanatic who has been the recipient of a good deal of favorable newspaper publicity. Calvin hands in his resignation.

When the modest butcher’s wife becomes a wealthy landowner, it immidiately goes to her head. With her new stuck-up attitude, she rejects the long-time butcher’s apprentice when he asks for her daughter’s hand in marriage. Fortunately, the poor butcher’s apprentice is friends with Pat and Patachon, who work in a circus and have experience with clownery. Jerry Chandler falls for the lovely Mimi Le Brun and she with him. He proposes marriage but Mimi wants money and security which he cannot provide so she becomes engaged to a wealthy man whom she does not love. When Jerry’s uncle dies leaving him a ranch and what is said to be a castle Mimi changes her tune and the pair elope. Disillusionment comes though when they see the shack that was called a castle, but Mimi accepts the situation until the rejected wealthy man appears on the scene. Conflicts arise until an accident befalls Jerry and Mimi realizes her true feelings.

Cheap Skates is a lost film made by Educational Films, as a "Mermaid Comedy". Funny man Lige Conley starts scrambling when bees fly down his pants!

Painter Johnny Miller bets his friends he can find his house blindfolded. But he stumbles into a bandits' camp, and being mistaken for one of them, is sent to rob the villa of Frank Sellins, a banker, and his niece Lilly.

Diaz de Toledo, a South American refugee, finds a job in a luxury hotel with a cosmopolitan clientèle. . There he makes friends with the Parkers, a fabulously rich family and falls in love with Chela, the daughter. Unfortunately, the young woman is seduced by an adventurer, Lord Hampton, who elopes her. When she realizes who Hampton actually is, Chela asks Diaz for help. He does come to her rescue but while defending her he gets badly hurt by Hampton. Some time later, Diaz and Chela present a living target number in a night club. Hampton, who has not said his last word, resurfaces.

The snooty Fernanda decides to leave Spain to visit her uncle in San Francisco in order to escape the attentions of the dandy, amorous Don Diego, but he follows her. She is rescued from a wild taxi ride by a passerby who owns a huge plumbing company. Believing him to be a common plumber, she snubs him, but he pursues her and a romantic rivalry is born.

Frank Leon Smith's well-written story told of Carter's Creek, a bustling mining camp, and of how Beth Cameron (Rich) seeks to avenge the murder of her father (Frederick Vroom) by donning men's clothing and raiding the vicinity.
