新聞コラムニストのベンジャミンは、半年前の妻の死を引きずり、14歳の息子ディランや7歳の娘ロージーの教育にも悩む。新聞社を辞めたベンジャミンは、父の遺産を使って新居で人生を再出発させようと考える。郊外の広い家を気に入るが、そこを買うには同じ敷地にあって2年も閉園状態の動物園や飼育員たちも引き取るのが条件。ベンジャミンは意を決して引っ越し、動物園の経営に乗り出すが、意外な出費などのトラブルが続く。

Fifteen young ambitious people are all working together in an empty building, some also live there. They try to achieve the same goal: having a selfmade business. Despite having the same goal, they're different people with different opinions about how to reach their goal. One of them is Sterre de Vries, who initiated the whole thing. Her father (Bert de Vries) is the owner of the building. It's all there: ambitions, arguments, secrets, intrigues, friendship, family ties, romance, lust.

Naoko Noda, who works in a trading company, is called "anego" by her younger co-workers. What is "anego"? It means "older sister," but in this case it is given as a nickname to Naoko because she is like a big sister to her coworkers, who depend on her to give them advice about everything.
