Across the United States, unclaimed valuables lie buried within ordinary people's attics, basements and garages. Matt Paxton travels around the country in search of rare, big-ticket items hidden in some of the most cluttered, filthy homes imaginable. The Hoarder Next Door is a British documentary series about compulsive hoarding. Produced by Twenty Twenty and shown on Channel 4 it features psychotherapist Stelios Kiosses helping extreme hoarders. The show is narrated by Olivia Colman.

Each participant undergoes a form of cognitive behavioral therapy that exposes the sources of their fears in an attempt to manage them.
