But people's morals and hearts are broken and damaged because they rely on themselves to live. Among the people who begin to forget God, there are still those who fight for their religion which is called UNDERGROUND. This is their story. This film was made as a religious lesson for Rayner and his friends in high school, 7 years ago.

Ngaben: Emotion and Restraint in a Balinese Heart takes an impressionistic look at the ngaben from the perspective of a mourning son, Nyoman Asub, and reveals the intimacy, sadness, and tenderness at the core of this funerary ritual and the feeling and force that underlie an exquisite cultural tradition. Amidst ample cultural and interpretive understandings of the cremation ceremony, the film purposefully provides a personalistic, impressionistic, and poetic glimpse of the process and the complex emotions involved.

Corruption and illegal fishing practices have made it impossible for traditional fishermen to receive a fair share of their paradise.

This film consists of three stories. The first story is about Ryan alias Sasak Adi, a young Sasak native who lives with his uncle (his mother died while giving birth to Ryan) in Jakarta. The second story is about Anjani, a Sasak woman who is obedient and still respects her cultural values. The third is about Wati (Aufa Asfarina Febrianggie), who lives in the same village as Anjani, talkative about following trends.

The story of two communities in South Sulawesi, Indonesia, both fighting for the right to manage their forest. The first community, in the village of Semanki, are fighting against the constraints imposed by the establishment of a national park. The second, in Labbo, are making the most of their 'extraordinary opportunity' to set up one of Indonesia's first 'village forests', and exercise that promises to make not just their livelihoods, but also the future of their forest much more secure.

However, a rich man interested in taking Minarsih to be his wife sends a gang to kidnap her. Basuki is unable to repel them. The Laughing Mask (Oedjang) comes to the rescue.
