It all began with a tiny box, found in a cupboard in the London office of the Buddhist Society. Inside were twelve pieces of jewelry which, according to a faded ink inscription, were part of the relics of the Buddha unearthed at the Indian site of Piprâwâ in 1898. A few weeks later, a letter sent to the Buddhist Society by the grandson of an amateur archaeologist led to the discovery of more jewels in Suffolk. Did these rare objects really come from the Buddha's tomb?

The story of Vincent Lacroix, a businessman convicted of defrauding thousands of investors and embezzling over $130 million in mid-2000s Quebec, Canada. Inspector and auditor Éric Asselin is mandated to monitor the activities of the Norbourg firm. The writer Louis Gardel remembers his youth in Algeria. In 1955, Louis is 15 years old and lives with his grandmother Zoé. Zoé is friend with president Steiger, leader of the French settlers but also with the old Arab Bouarab. One night looking at the Bay of Algiers, Louis is convinced that the world in which he has grown will disappear. The first events of the War of Independence have begun. The young boys and young girls have a good time at the seaside: swimming, dancing, flirting. But, little by little, the war becomes part of their daily life.

On the morning of January 30, 1889, the Archduke Rodolphe de Habsbourg and his mistress Marie Vetsera were found dead. The remains of Rodolphe are discreetly repatriated to Hofburg, while that of Mary is hastily thrown into the depths of a tomb.

In the summer of 1975, the young director Steven Spielberg set new standards for cinema worldwide with an oversized shark bite, a plastic shark fin and an unmistakable two-note main theme composed by John Williams. With the horror from the deep, a man-eating, gigantic great white shark, the film of the same name became a similarly traumatic reference as Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho": it triggered lasting primal fears across generations. On the beaches of the world, there was clearly a "before" and an "after". Steven Spielberg, who was only 28 at the time, not only set new standards for the thriller genre, but also hid his biting criticism of US capitalism in the 1970s behind it.

The woman discovers that one of the daughters is a crazed nymphomaniac who pursues, and seduces, everyone in the house, including her crippled sister.
