What can we learn from spaces of futures past? Derived from the Kelate word for matchstick, Ggésék is a portrait of human-machine relationships in the twilight of Malaysia’s last match factory. A space once bustling with over 1000 workers is now manned by 26 with a single match dipping machine, reconfiguring space and relationships on the factory floor. We invite you to sit and contemplate with us amidst the immersive clattering engines and quiet moments of prayer.

The story of Adli, a thief who disguises himself as a wealthy man and comes to a village to escape being pursued by the authorities. In his attempt to hide his identity, he manages to gain the trust of Tok Imam Saleh, who at the time is facing a crisis of credibility as the leader of the surau (prayer hall). By expressing a desire to deepen his knowledge of religion, Adli appears to be seeking a “spiritual transformation,” something that Tok Imam warmly welcomes. However, not everyone is easily deceived. Khadijah, Tok Imam’s daughter, begins to suspect Adli’s true intentions.

The film serves as a technological artefact that has been unearthed by future archaeologists and compiled together into a film. The narrator details his disease and his demise through scattered and spaced-out audio entries that were intended for someone, but the recordings never reached the intended listener. As he recalls his life and eventually the ending of all humankind, death, he accepts the imminent doom of his fate, due to nature’s law of entropy.

Kasih Tiana, is about a mother who after being blessed with a miracle finds herself having to make a heartbreaking choice – to choose between her own life and that of her baby's. Will Tiana be willing to fulfill the powerful sense of duty as a mother and sacrifice her life to save her child?

A story of the challenges of a deaf mother, Mariana raising her hearing child, Nelly that interweaves with the life of a domestic helper, Asih who is a motherly figure to Nelly as well. She works with the family for more than ten years and Mariana’s jealousy of Asih has grown during Nelly’s teenage years as Nelly shows more affection towards Asih. Meanwhile, Asih’s son has liver failure and Asih strives to provide the best she can for his recovery. After years of accumulated anger and jealousy, Mariana terminated Asih. Nelly gets upset with her mother and their relationship drifts further apart. Is Mariana able to mend her relationship with Nelly before she lose Nelly for good?

Nothing Gentle in the Shadows tackles the stigma and silence surrounding sexual violence against men and how their masculinity is questioned by authorities and society when it is brought to light. This documentary details three male sexual assault survivors from diverse backgrounds who share their harrowing experiences of what they went through, emphasising that sexual violence can happen to anyone, regardless of race, gender, or age. Through their stories and the use of symbolic imagery, the documentary revisits spaces that allows the viewers to delve into the lives of the survivors.

The story is about Daniel and his friends facing a mysterious disturbance called the 'Penunggu Sol-Dorm' while praying together in their dormitory. It becomes even scarier and more confusing when they encounter a figure resembling their teacher, Cikgu Azizi, who taught them.

As the grand opening of her bakery approaches, Khairin juggles the pressures of entrepreneurship and a medical crisis, only to face an unexpected reunion with a former classmate-turned-doctor who once humiliated her, leading to a turbulent journey of unresolved pasts and fragile new beginnings.

The return of Tina and her husband, Kamal, to the village during Ramadan brought dissatisfaction to her mother-in-law, Kiah, as Tina's sales were better than hers. Tina was unhappy with the refrigerator at Kiah's house. She said the refrigerator was old and not strong enough to hold all her pastries and cakes for sale. Hurt by Tina's statement, Kiah cursed Tina to become a refrigerator. Can Tina escape from her mother-in-law's curse?
