A fictional biography of the Polish composer Mieczysław Karłowicz. The film focuses on several important episodes in the artist's life: his first successes, a strong relationship with his mother, an unfulfilled feeling for his cousin, love for the mountains. Karłowicz died during a lonely hike in the Tatra Mountains, under a snow avalanche. He was only on the threshold of a great career. He was 32 years old.
