A deaf catering worker who is struggling to make ends meet is called upon by a police detective superintendent to lip-read the conversations of criminals.

Kohei, a deaf university student, meets Taichi, an optimistic classmate who volunteers to take notes for Kohei's lectures in exchange for food. As they grow closer, their friendship blossoms into love.
