“Kvinnliga akademiska fotbollsklubben Virginia: Ko-misk!” is one of five films (three of which are now lost) that were made by students at the University of Lund, Sweden, as a part of their 1908 carnival. The film is a parody of female students engaging in sports.

Created by the young but obviously ambitious French production company Lux Film, founded just two years before by pioneer Henri Joly. The film was released in the United States with the title Love and Fortune, in a version which sought to mellow the character of the male protagonist, at least judging by the synopses in the period press: the American Ascanio was always in love with Graziella, and he only lets himself think of wealth in his dreams.
Robbers wait by the roadside ready to spring upon a series of passing travellers, gleefully hiding their stolen plunder in a hollow tree. When a Jewish man comes along with a bag full of gold, the villains treat him worse than the others and tie him to the tree.

Barcarola is a 1908 Brazilian film directed by Júlio Ferrez. It was the first "sound" film in Brazil, that is, with actors dubbing themselves live, behind the screen, based on already recorded images. Premiered on September 1, 1908. It was produced by the company William e Cia. The film was inspired by the operetta "Les contes d'Hoffmann", by composer and cellist Jacques Offenbach. The film's synopsis is unknown, but given the name, which references the song "Barcarolle", it is very likely that it is inspired by the third act of Les contes d'Hoffmann. Like many films from this era, Barcarola is considered a lost film, with only one surviving image, taken during the film's production.

Mrs. Neverrest is a very energetic woman and is passionately fond of sports of every description, and being blessed with a large fortune indulges freely in all her different sporting proclivities.... She goes to the top of a high mountain with great ease and there awaits her panting servant, who not being a thorough sportsman like his mistress suffers severely from all this exertion.... A cine-camera placed on the front side of a tram films the left bank communication under Letná. The tram passes by a cable way station to Letná. Is crossing through the Čech's Bridge. On the right bank side we see construction site on a place where stands Faculty of Law today.
Short reportage
A couple of performers perform the big love number from the Oscar Strauss operetta.
Children play with their toys while Grandpa dozes. He dreams that the doll's house catches fire and the toys rush to put out the flames. He awakens to find the children squirting him with water.
An art student inherits a sum of money and has his fellow students over to celebrate. Chaos ensues.
After an altercation two men exchange cards, an invitation to adjudicate their differences on the field of honor. The seconds make all arrangements and at the appointed hour, the combatants appear. Both, however, are possessed of mortal fear and their aim is so uncertain that after numerous attempts and trials of various forms of weapons the seconds cheerfully call the match a draw.
