What at first appears to be a myriad of angry alligators floating in the murky waters of the Everglades, waiting to pounce on unsuspecting tourists, is in fact a delicate ecosystem vital to the environment of South Florida. Brought to video by National Geographic, this video is a swamp boat ride through the salty mangrove and saw-grass prairies to a secret place of survival. Between the sediments of silt and sand, wonderful creatures reside, such as the West Indian Manatee, the American White Pelican, the Roseate Spoonbill, and the rarest and most elusive native animal of the region -- the Florida Panther.

In 1993, Washington DC area indie rock band Lorelei went on tour to England, before even their first EP had been released (only a single so far). It's not Spinal Tap, but things did not go as planned for the band. The doc mixes performance footage with some on-the-road moments.

Using footage from CNN and ABC news reports, Boyce possesses American news anchors with the spirits of old-time sci-fi who speak the virtues of electronic hypnosis and rule through fear. He superimposes lips on the news anchors and makes them utter classic lines from classic films, amongst others Dracula.

A short experimental drama that follows a journey of transformation by the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo (1907-1954) who wore a series of orthopaedic corsets. This film from artist-activist Liz Crow draws on Kahlo’s own words and characteristically bold painting style, refuting the picture of Kahlo’s life as one of tragedy and suffering.

These Are Not My Images follows the voyage of a disillusioned Western filmmaker, accompanied by a half-blind guide and her encounter with a local filmmaker in a skewed "road movie" set in the near future. It evokes the different meanings of "place" : a location, a territory, a context, a situation, and a home. It speaks of being at your own place and being (at the place of) another, about identity and alterity, intimacy and distance, about the relationship between the "first" and the "Third". Images and sounds were recorded in Tamil Nadu. The images refer to different modes of image-making (painting, photography, film and video). They alternate from documentary" to "painterly images" created through digital and analog processing.
