Jei žmogus patenka į vampyrų rankas, jis tuoj pat patalpinamas kraujo banke, kur iš jo pamažu pumpuojamas kraujas tol, kol nelaimėlis mirtinai nukraujuoja. Tačiau vampyrų pasaulį ištiko krizė. Jie beveik išnaikino žmones, o kraujo bankuose atsargų liko keletui mėnesių. Vampyrų mokslininkų komanda stengiasi išrasti sintetinį žmonių kraujo pakaitalą. Galbūt jis – vampyrų problemų sprendimas. Šiai komandai vadovauja jaunas mokslininkas Edvardas. Jie stovi ant atradimo slenksčio ir rodos tarptautinė maisto tiekimo problema netrukus bus išspręsta. Tačiau Edvardo padėtį komplikuoja tai, kad jis prijaučia žmonėms. Jis laikosi „dietos" – Edvardas negeria žmonių kraujo.

Filmas – humoro ir siaubo mišinys. Piktųjų jėgų valia šiuolaikinis sėkmės karys atsiduria viduramžiuose. Jis turi nugalėti blogąsias jėgas ir grįžti namo.

Pagrindiniai juostos herojai – ne laiku ir ne vietoje apsilankę jaunuoliai. Taip, beveik visose siaubo juostose herojai sugeba netinkamai pasirinkti laiką ir vietą. Šį kartą nelaimėliams atiteko gan nestandartiniai priešai – nacių zombiai.

Puikių specialiųjų efektų siaubo komedija. Du vyrukai dirba medicinos reikmenų sandėlyje.
