Ekscentriskais ņujorkietis Boriss iepazīstas ar daiļu, bet gaužām slikti audzinātu meiteni vārdā Melodija, kura atbraukusi no provinces, lai iekarotu Ņujorku. Viņai iepatīkas Borisa dzīvoklis un dzīvesstils, bet Borisam – pati Melodija. Starp abiem izveidojas neticamas, nereālas un kaislīgas romantiskas attiecības...
