Two Lottery Tickets 1959
1957 film adaptation of Romanian playwright Ion Luca Caragiale's novella “Două loturi” (Two Lottery Tickets, 1901). The scenario was written by director Jean Georgescu, one of the most skilled Romanian filmmakers of the 1940s and 1950s, while the directing belongs to Aurel Miheleş and Gheorghe Naghi, at that time both recently graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow. This is the second feature film in colour from Romania. Despite the great public success, the film was often criticized by reviewers, mostly for its unhandy directing from the two debutants. Miheleş and Naghi would however continue their collaboration and release another two Caragiale adaptations, of which “Telegrame” (Telegrams, 1959) was nominated for the Palme d'Or (Golden Palm) at the 1960 edition of the Cannes festival.
The Forest You'll Never Enter 1978
Tenth-graders from one of the city schools came for a two-week internship at a neighboring timber industry enterprise. At first the guys felt like tourists. But participation in forest planting under the leadership of forester Yuri, a true enthusiast of his work, awakened in them a feeling of love for their native nature.

The Hundred Lei Bill 1973
Arguing with his parents, Petre, a teenager, moves at his bigger brother, Andrei, a successful actor. There he meets Dora, one of his brother's young fans. When Andrei gives the girl his attention, Petre feels abandoned and runs away without even taking the hundred lei bill his brother had given him. A car runs Petre down. When he learns about this tragic accident, Andrei realizes - while watching his own smiling face in a musical on TV - that underneath his glittering success, he lives an empty life.

The film is about the life of Dmitry Cantemir and the Moldovan people from November 1710 to July 1711. Turkish troops are preparing for war with Russia. The Sultan entrusted him with the throne of Moldavia. Cantemir secretly established ties with Peter I and concluded a military-political agreement with him, according to which Russia took Moldova under its protectorate, pledged to help expel the Turks and restore the former borders of the Moldovan state.
