In recent years, various people working with "problem youths" have been experimenting with programmes that have come under the heading of "Survival Therapy". Among other things, the treatment involves exposure to a difficult environment. City kids are transferred from their traditional habitat to the desolate interior of the country where they have to tackle manifold problems. For instance, they plod long distances across rough terrain in all kinds of weather, carrying heavy rucksacks on their backs for several days. This documentary covers a tour by British and Icelandic youngsters of the Icelandic interior ruing the summer of 1983. The young people come from London, Bristol, Liverpool and Reykjavík. All are at odds with society and have records of drug abuse, delinquency and violence.

Educational film about the freezing industry in Iceland in 1981. This documentary illustrates the diffrent stages in processing of fish, from the moment of catching it to the packaging of the fillets for export. Special attention is drawn to the careful handling of the fish and quality control.

Made during a period when Iceland was still extending its fisheries' zone, this film deals with the total dependence of Icelanders on the fishing industry. The film is partly based on the author's personal reflections and includes an animated sequence of a T.V. interview with a cod.

Loftur Guðmundsson films the Icelandic industry. Although only a few industrial companies are shown. They are, Ölgerðin Egil Skallagrímsson, Brjóstsykurverksmiðjan Nói, Kaffibrennsla Ó Johnson & Kaaber, Verksmiðjan Hreinn, Kornmylla and Mjólkurstöð Mjólkurfélag Reykjavíkur. In the film you can see a machine culture that is rising up in the city. However, the aforementioned companies paid Loftur for the film and it can therefore be said that this is an advertisement for individual companies.
