He initially lives it as yet another nuisance, but spending time with Villa Bianca's residents — especially Dino, a cultured and sarcastic 80-year-old who has attempted suicide several times — will make Carlo change his outlook on the world and on life itself.

Tommaso is the youngest son of the Cantones, a large, traditional southern Italian family operating a pasta-making business since the 1960s. On a trip home from Rome, where he studies literature and lives with his boyfriend, Tommaso decides to tell his parents the truth about himself. But when he is finally ready to come out in front of the entire family, his older brother Antonio ruins his plans.

Somewhere in Australia in the early 20th century outback, an Aboriginal man is accused of murdering a white woman. Three white men are on a mission to capture him with the help of an experienced Indigenous man.

The film is about two worlds, different and parallel, living together in the same territory: the Gran Sasso of Italy. The contact between the two realities occurs through the characters of Max, a nuclear physics researcher who works tirelessly in the laboratory located in the belly of the mountain, and the shepherd Bajram. In fact, the shepherd walks on the physicist's head but neither of them knows it. Inside the laboratory the most advanced craft of mankind is being developed, above the mountain, on the other hand, there are poor immigrants doing the oldest work in the world. Gran Sasso is, according to the director, the synthetic image of globalization.

Cetto and its city council were arrested, but in prison the conspiratorial former mayor makes no earning name as the gratitude of the powerful secretary. These decide to replace some MPs mysteriously killed precisely with Cetto and two other characters: Rodolfo Favaretto and Frengo Stop
