The head of the household, Jess Gonzalez (Edward James Olmos), is your average father who is forced to fight everyday troubles, following the death of his loving wife Berta (Sônia Braga). Their beloved daughter Nina (Constance Marie) has recently graduated from law school and decides to work for Legal Services on behalf of immigrant rights, although Jess does not agree with her decision. The rest of the Gonzalez family just tries to go with the flow, but they find their own problems down the road.

Celia and Alan are both widowed and in their seventies. When their respective grandsons put their details on Facebook, they rediscover a passionate relationship that started over sixty years ago.

Square One Television is an American children's television program produced by the Children's Television Workshop to teach mathematics and abstract mathematical concepts to young viewers. Hometime is a PBS home improvement television show produced by Hometime Video Publishing, Chaska, Minnesota, in association with WHYY-TV Philadelphia/Wilmington, Delaware, and broadcast on public television and in syndication. It first aired in 1986. In the 1990s, Hometime aired on TLC. Hometime demonstrates both do-it-yourself- and contractor-performed projects, ranging from simple weekend projects to complete homes.
