Enkele jaren na de gebeurtenissen uit de eerste film is het Jaegerprogramma ten prooi gevallen aan corruptie en zijn de massavernietigingswapens in verkeerde handen gevallen. De machine Gipsy Avenger is hiervan een voorbeeld.

In de toekomstige wereld, na een bijna totale uitroeiing van het leven op aarde, gaat de mensheid met behulp van gigantische robots (Eva's) het gevecht aan tegen aanvallen van de gevaarlijke Angels.

In de nasleep van de Fourth Impact, gestrand zonder hun Evangelions, vinden Shinji, Asuka en Rei hun toevlucht op de geruïneerde planeet Aarde. Daar leeft elk een leven dat heel anders is dan hun dagen als Evangelion-piloot. Het gevaar voor de wereld is echter nog lang niet voorbij. Een nieuwe impact doemt op aan de horizon - een die het ware einde van Evangelion zal blijken te zijn.

Vrouwelijke testpiloot Kusomoto Elle vernedert macho-tankchauffeur Lt. Kilgore in de eerste demonstratie van de geavanceerde persoonlijke gevechtstank, de MADOX. Kilgore zweert wraak en krijgt zijn kans als het leger het prototype in Tokio nogal achteloos verliest. De MADOX wordt gevonden door ingenieursstudent Sujimoto Kouji, die niet de tijd neemt om de handleiding volledig te lezen en uiteindelijk door Tokio zoeft, gevangen in een machine waarvan hij niet helemaal weet hoe hij hem moet bedienen. Raad eens wie de taak krijgt om de nu mobiele vermiste MADOX te stoppen? Arme Kouji. Als hij te laat is voor zijn date, is het voorbij tussen hem en zijn vriendin. Zijn huidige kleding herdefinieert de term 'over-dressed'. En als klap op de vuurpijl wil Kilgore hem uitschakelen.

Een virtuele wereld in een schurftkoraal (koraalachtige informatielevensvorm) gecreëerd door Eureka. Tien jaar zijn verstreken sinds de mensen van de virtuele wereld met de ineenstorting op deze aarde verschenen. Als resultaat van deze “grote fusie” noemen mensen in de virtuele wereld zichzelf “Groene Aarde”, en mensen op de oude Aarde noemen zichzelf “Blauwe Aarde”, en verschillende botsingen zullen zich onder het wateroppervlak herhalen. En Dewey Novak, een hoge functionaris van de Green Earth Army, komt samen met zijn collega's in actie om hun waardigheid te beschermen en zet uiteindelijk een grootschalig terroristenprogramma in werking.

Het is alweer tien jaar geleden toen Koji Kabuto en zijn gigantische robot Mazinger Z de wereld redde van de dwaze wetenschapper Dr. Hell en zijn Underground Empire. Koji ontdekt een nieuw gevaar dat diep onder Mount Fuji is begraven. Hier vindt hij de mysterieuze levensvorm LiSA die zich bevindt in een omhulsel genaamd Infinity. Dr. Hell wil Infinity in zijn handen krijgen om zo een nieuwe poging te wagen om de wereld te vernietigen. Kunnen Koji en Mazinger Z wederom Dr. Hell en zijn aanhang verslaan?

Net als de Japanse speciale edities van andere anime-series van Gundam en Sunrise, is dit het eerste van drie delen waarin het eerste seizoen van Gundam 00 met 25 afleveringen wordt samengevat in lange video's. Ze bevatten allemaal een aantal nieuwe geanimeerde sequenties en een aantal gedeeltelijk opnieuw opgenomen dialogen.

Het plot volgt voor een groot deel de eerste zes afleveringen van de originele Evangelion serie. Shinji Ikari komt aan in Tokyo-3. Hij komt midden in een gevecht tussen de U.N. Army en de Fourth Angel (Thrid in de originele serie). Zijn vader Gendo, Surpreme Commander van NERV, wil dat hij Evangelion Unit-01 gaat besturen omdat de originele piloot te erg gewond is na zijn gevecht.

Vijf vrouwelijke piraten besturen de Sol Bianca, een ruimteschip met een hoger technologieniveau dan enig ander bekend ruimteschip. Hiermee gaan ze op zoek naar rijkdommen, zoals de Gnosis, een legendarisch machtsmiddel, en pasja, het meest waardevolle mineraal in de Melkweg.

Het is veertien jaar na de 'Derde Impact'. De Angels vallen nog steeds de mensheid aan. Shinji Ikari is gered van het Evangelion Unit-01 en merkt dat de wereld niet ten goede is veranderd. Alles ligt in puin, zijn voormalige bondgenoten van NERV zijn hem vijandig en Rei Ayanami, het meisje waar Shinji alles voor heeft geriskeerd, is nergens te vinden. Terwijl hij probeert zich aan te passen aan de nieuwe wereld ontmoet Shinji de raadselachtige Kaworu Nagisa. Samen met hem gaan ze op zoek naar Rei en naar de verschrikkelijke waarheid achter de Angels, NERV en de Evangelions.

De film gaat verder waar Evangelion 1.0 stopte: de paramilitaire organisatie NERV verdedigt de wereld tegen de terugkeer van de Angels, maar de voortdurende oorlog begint zijn tol te heffen. Shinji Ikari's relatief plezierige leventje krijgt een wending als een nieuwe groep Evangelion pilots, waarbij de roodharige Asuka Langley Shikinami, hem en Rei Ayanami komen bijstaan.

Na Chars rebellie leidt Hathaway Noa een opstand tegen de Aarde-federatie. Zijn lot verandert echter als hij een vijandelijke officier en een mysterieuze vrouw ontmoet.

Het speelt zich af in 2059, vijf decennia na het Space War I-conflict uit het eerste Macross-verhaal. Macross Frontier, de 25e superlangeafstandskolonisatievloot van de New Macross-klasse, reist door de Melkweg naar een nieuw paradijs om thuis te noemen. Het is echter in staat van oorlog verwikkeld met een vreemde vijand genaamd Vajra. Ozma Lee, de leider van de S.M.S. Het Skull Team dat aan de frontlinie tegen de Vajra vecht, komt op een dag een mysterieuze levensvorm tegen die zelfs anders is dan de Vajra. Deze mysterieuze levensvorm laat een archiefvideo achter van de Macross 7-kolonisatievloot met Ozma, Ranka en Sheryl.

Mashin Hero Wataru is a comedy/adventure Super Robot multimedia franchise originally consisting of 45 episode anime series created by Sunrise first aired on April 15, 1988. Sunrise credited "Hajime Yatate" for the storyline and Shuji Iuchi directed the series. The series employs a kinetic visual gag style, often employing characters running with their feet over their shoulders derived from Sunrise's previous Super Robot anime series Choriki Robo Galatt.

Mazinger Z, known briefly as Tranzor Z in the United States, is a Japanese super robot manga series written and illustrated by Go Nagai. The first manga version was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from October 1972 to August 1973, and it later continued in Kodansha TV Magazine from October 1973 to September 1974. It was adapted into an anime television series which aired on Fuji TV from December 1972 to September 1974. A second manga series was released alongside the TV show, this one drawn by Gosaku Ota, which started and ended almost at the same time of the TV show. Mazinger Z has spawned several sequels and spinoff series, among them UFO Robot Grendizer and Mazinkaiser. It was a very popular cartoon in Mexico during the 1980s, where it was dubbed into Spanish directly from the Japanese version, keeping the Japanese character names and broadcasting all 92 episodes, unlike the version aired in the U.S.
