Een nieuw experiment met pesticide zorgt ervoor dat insecten elkaar te lijf gaan. Maar de methode heeft ook effect op de doden, die weer tot leven komen. Edna en George, twee toevallige passanten, proberen zichzelf in veiligheid te stellen, maar worden door de plaatselijke autoriteiten verdacht van de kannibalistische moorden die het plaatsje teisteren.
