Irving Rosenfeld is een briljante oplichter die samen met zijn sluwe Britse partner en minnares Sydney Prosser wordt gedwongen om te werken voor de losgeslagen FBI-agent Richie DiMaso. DiMaso introduceert ze in de gevaarlijke maar betoverende wereld van de 'power brokers' (oplichters die mensen omkopen om op een bepaalde persoon te stemmen) en de maffia.
Een zieke en wanhopige John reist naar Mexico om een riskante en experimentele medische procedure te ondergaan in de hoop dat zijn kanker op wonderbaarlijke wijze geneest. Al snel ontdekt hij dat deze hele operatie oplichterij is. Gewapend met een nieuw doel keert de beruchte seriemoordenaar terug naar zijn werk: deze oplichters meedogenloos terugpakken door middel van krankzinnige, ingenieuze en verraderlijke valstrikken.
De film is gebaseerd op een waargebeurd verhaal en volgt twee bodybuilders (Mark Wahlberg en Dwayne Johnson) op steroïden. Ze kiezen het pad van de misdaad en raken betrokken bij een afpersingszaak en een ontvoering die helemaal uit de hand loopt en in moord eindigt. Detective Ed Du Bois (Ed Harris) krijgt de taak om de zaak op te lossen wanneer de politie van Miami hier niet in slaagt.
Een scenarioschrijver worstelt met zijn script genaamd Seven Psychopaths (Zeven Psychopaten). Maar dan wordt hij door zijn vrienden meegetrokken in een hondenontvoeringszaak. Wanneer de geliefde Shih Tzu van een psychopathische gangster vermist raakt, vindt de scenarist meer dan genoeg inspiratie voor zijn scenario, op voorwaarde dat hij lang genoeg in leven kan blijven om alles op te schrijven.
Ga mee terug naar Baltimore, 1963, naar de tijd van een zeldzaam Amerikaans ras: de 'tin men' oftewel oud ijzer handelaren. Twee niet helemaal eerlijke concurrenten (Rrichard Dreyfuss) en Danny DeVito)ontmoeten elkaar tijdens een lichte aanrijding. Hun lichtgeraakte, gekwetste ego's doen dit ongelukje veranderen in een zware vendetta waarbij ze het gemunt hebben op elkaars successymbolen - hun geprezen Cadillac's. In een 'coup de Grace' besluit Dreyfuss om de verwaarloosde vrouw van DeVito (Barbara Hershey) te verleiden. Deze romantische zet doet hem echter in vuur en vlam voor haar staan, wat garant staat voor een heleboel humor. De cast in de bijrollen is absoluut klassiek, en de soundtrack van Tin Men (van The Fine Young Cannibals) is net zo goed als de film zelf!
Frank Bannister heeft na een auto-ongeluk een bijzondere gave gekregen. Hij kan namelijk geesten zien. Citizen James is a BBC sitcom that ran for three series between 24 November 1960 and 23 November 1962. The show featured comedian and actor Sid James and Sydney Tafler with Bill Kerr and Liz Fraser appearing in early episodes. It was initially written by the comedy writing team of Galton and Simpson, who based the characters very much on the "Sidney Balmoral James" and "Bill Kerr, the dim-witted Australian" roles that they had played in Hancock's Half Hour. Sid James' character was changed to be something of a people's champion, campaigning for social justice. Bill Kerr and Liz Fraser departed and Sidney Tafler played a different character: Charlie Davenport. The location switched from Soho to Sid and Charlie sharing a house. Later episodes were written by then Morecambe & Wise writers Sid Green and Dick Hills.
