Nadat ze een serie dreigtelefoontjes heeft gehad, valt Nora Elmer van de bovenste verdieping van haar appartementencomplex. Haar dood wordt onderzocht door inspecteur Jean Letellier, die al snel een mysterieus telefoontje ontvangt van iemand die zich Minos noemt.
