Tien jaar nadat de eerste film van het Marvel Cinematic Universe werd uitgebracht, komt de spanning tot een hoogtepunt in de grootste en meest gevreesde confrontatie aller tijden in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War.

De hobbits Sam en Frodo beginnen samen met Gollum aan het laatste deel van hun reis richting Mordor, om daar te proberen in het hol van de leeuw de machtige Ene Ring te vernietigen. De legers van Gondor proberen ondertussen de stad Minas Tirith te beschermen tegen Sauron's legers.

Peter Parker is ontmaskerd en kan zijn normale leven niet langer scheiden van de hoge inzet van een superheld zijn. Wanneer hij om hulp vraagt ​​van Doctor Strange, wordt de inzet nog gevaarlijker, waardoor hij moet ontdekken wat het werkelijk betekent om Spider-Man te zijn.

De slechte heerser van Duloc (de kleine Lord Farquaad) heeft alle sprookjesfiguren uit zijn land verbannen. De figuren, inclusief een praatgrage ezel, vluchten naar het moerasland van de oger Shrek, die erg op z'n privacy gesteld is.

De hobbits Frodo en Sam trekken verder richting Mordor om hun taak, het vernietigen van de machtige Ene Ring waar de slechte Sauron naar op zoek is, te volbrengen. Hierbij krijgen ze hulp uit onverwachte hoek.

Harry gaat samen met zijn vrienden Ron en Hermione naar het WK Quidditch. Helaas loopt dit evenement mis doordat een groep volgelingen van Voldemort, ook wel Dooddoeners genoemd, door het veld parradeert.

Vlak voor zijn tweede jaar op de Zweinstein School voor Hekserij en Tovenarij wordt tovenaarsleerling Harry Potter door de elf Dobby gewaarschuwd dat zijn terugkeer op de school tot een ramp zal leiden.

Het is Harry's derde jaar op Zweinstein. Een gevaarlijke massamoordenaar, Sirius Black, is ontsnapt uit de Azkaban gevangenis, en iedereen is er van overtuigd dat hij er op uit is om Harry te vermoorden.

Tijdens hun avontuur krijgen ze gezelschap van een komische sneeuwpop genaamd Olaf en samen moeten ze ijskoude temperaturen zien te overleven en vreemde wezens, trollen en andere magie trotseren.

Het tweede deel van het zevende boek zal Harry Potter dichter bij de dood brengen dan ooit, terwijl hij ervoor kiest om zijn zoektocht naar de Gruzielementen voort te zetten, met de hulp van Ron en Hermelien.

Samen met Gandalf en dertien dwergen onderneemt Bilbo een avontuur dat hem moet leiden naar de schat die de draak Smaug van de dwergen gestolen heeft.

Harry wordt dit jaar opgehaald bij de Duffelingen door een groep tovenaars van de Orde van de Phoenix, opgericht door Perkamentus, welke proberen Voldemorts plannen te dwarsbomen. In het hoofdkwartier van de Orde blijkt al snel dat bijna niemand gelooft dat Voldemort is teruggekeerd.

Heel Groot-Brittanië wordt in haar greep gehouden door Heer Voldemort, die maar één doel voor ogen heeft: het opsporen en doden van Harry Potter.

Als Harry, Ron en Hermelien aan hun zesde jaar aan Zweinstein beginnen, komt Harry in het bezit van een geheimzinnig volgekladderd toverdrankenboek, dat ooit het eigendom is geweest van de onbekende Half-Blood Prince.
