Med solsystemet skalert ned til Lofoten-målestokk, reiser de med bil og båt der de spinner fra planet til planet gjennom de storslagne naturlandskapene. Læreren er ingen ringere enn astrofysiker Jean Surdej fra Belgia, som blant annet er ekspert på visuelle fenomener i verdensrommet.
