The end of the shift finds nurse Ajkuna conversing with a colleague. He's acquired the information she was looking for: a link to an organ trafficking circle. As she goes through various encounters with strangers and acquaintances, and wrestles with her daughter’s impending graduation, Ajkuna begins to see herself imploding.

By 1980, Albania had broken with all the world’s superpowers. The isolation pushed the country into a corner. Industrial production slowed to a virtual standstill. Lines grew for bread, meat and milk. To inspire the typical socialist worker, this Kinostudio production highlighted the achievements of a model labourer who’s met his work goals thirty years into the future. Director Musliu ironically mirrors much of the ridiculous rhetoric that filled most of the era’s state-controlled media.

"Ferdonija" follows the story of the woman from Gjakova with the same name, who lost all her family members during the war and now after a decade there is still no news about them and the circumstances of their disappearance or murder. Filmed over two years, this documentary recounts the spiritual suffering, daily challenges, stigma and social pressure that this woman experiences, and tries to shed light on the consequences that history has left on its survivors.

The two Albanian street performers and close friends, Besi and Rafael, have been traveling through Italy for years with their mime and acrobatics act as Ping and Pong. Sometimes they have trouble with the police, but more often they receive enthusiastic applause from their audience, who are eager to have their picture taken with the two likeable performers.

44 years after the name of Albania’s dictator was painted on the Shpirag mountain, a group of villagers take the effort to climb the mountain and change the letters by overwriting a new word, referring to the past dictatorship and the current government.
