In a post war Georgia, an unemployed architect, Andro tries to help out his family, fills the car with household junk and goes to Turkey for private trading, with his son Dato. On the border they give a ride to a Turkish hitchhiker Taner, to Trabzon. This meeting turns this harmless journey, into series of unfortunate events for Andro and his son.

Young Teacher Lado moves to the village, where he falls in love with Ketu,a young librarian, but Ketu has been engaged to a fellow villager since childhood. Chofe and his brother threaten Lado that breaking his word and breaking custom can be fatal for the lovers. However, young people are not afraid of threats.

As a young couple, Nika and Salome's everyday life changes due to gravitation. Nika becomes a murderer, Salome converts to a religious sect, awaiting the end of the world. Nika's behaviour is infantile, he runs around a playground holding his newborn son Kartlos like a steering wheel, imitating the sound of an engine. Nika immediately befriends strangers; for him social barriers are non-existent. He asks questions just for the sake of conversing. Unable to follow orders, he acts his own way. Salome is childlike as well, everything unfamiliar brings her both interest and fear. Like a child, she has many stimuli and doesn't limit her endeavours. She often repeats words for pleasure and talks to herself. Nika and Salome are united by a sense of loss. Salome was orphaned by losing her parents in a car crash, Nika's father is deceased as well. Their need to be safe remains unsatisfied. Exposed people seek a strong father figure, be it Stalin, Christ or aliens.

A group of young people wants to settle in an abandoned village and revive it

After the defeat in elections, Refugees Eviction Minister, Giorgi Mchedlishvili, loses everything that is dear to him: the office, the car, the source of income and most importantly - power. Giorgi’s chair, which is a live being, motivates former Minister to take actions, but these efforts do not bring the desired result. In these difficult times Giorgi meets Donara, refugee women, which he marries later. New government, orders eviction of Giorgi and his Family from his house. Former Minister puts himself in confrontation first with media, and then with Magda, Giorgi’s sister in law, and because of Magda the house is surrounded by journalists and police. After unsuccessful negotiations with the SWAT team the assault begins. With the help of chair, George, manages to escape grounds unseen towards his village.

Nia and Nika, accompanied by their parents, plan a New Year's trip, but their mischievous behavior leads to punishment. Instead of following their parents, they have to spend New Year's at Grandpa's house, who discover a magical locket capable of granting wishes. Opting for a private celebration, the siblings find themselves targeted by robbers hired by a collector eager to obtain the medallion. Now, the children must confront the thieves on their own
