The black and white short Private History (1978) by Gábor Bódy is made up of amateur recordings. So what would the presumably well-off people owning their own cameras direct the lens at before the Second World War? On the one hand, their own families, and on the other, their everyday lives, their pride-and-joy cars, Lake Balaton holidays, happily smiling family members. History, which slowly washes away this idyllic world as the rain effaces paint from paper, initially only appears as ‘background noise’, parts of newsreels and an occasional speech by Hitler. The pictures become more sombre as the age also grows darker: marching soldiers and columns of civilians wearing the yellow star pass in front of the camera. Péter Tímár reconstructed the audio on the basis of lip-reading, noises and rattles reflective of the period. This film is the forerunner to Péter Forgács’s landmark series Private Hungary.

Angi Vera is a young nursing assistant in a hospital. When she speaks out against the appalling conditions, she is reprimanded, but the Communist Party takes her under its wing. She is sent for ideological training, where she learns to be an agitator in exchange for accommodation and meals. Meanwhile, she falls in love with one of her teachers, but she cannot live out her love within the walls of the strict school.

Pista Rácz, bearer of the title "outstanding workman" is opposed to all forms of sport, and is especially antagonized by Jóska Teleki, a first-class sportsman, who seems to be a drawback for Rácz's brigade in terms of work quantity performance figures.

A crime is committed in Paris, and the police are clueless. They call in Simon, a sorcerer with supernatural powers. whilst in Paris, Simon falls in love with Jeanne, although they do not speak each other's language. When Jeanne leaves for a couple of days, Peter, another visionary, calls Simon for a duel: They both have to spend three days buried alive. Will Simon ever meet his love again?

Peter returned from prison in his native city, in the hope that it will begin happy days. With surprise he learns that his sister became a foster mother to the newborn boy, but a real mother of the child - extravagant and slutty Maya wants to take it back. Peter falls in love with Maya. He's torn between his girlfriend and trying to manipulate sister. But he has to make a choice, and the happiness was so close, melt into thin air.

Gavrilo lives the everyday life of a seemingly ordinary young man, but he also reads history books and dreams of carrying out a real revolutionary deed. He identifies with his imaginary role, choosing his name from history after the assassin of Franz Ferdinand. Majka lives in seclusion in a greenhouse, preferring to stay as close as possible to her tropical plants and songbirds. She knits clothes, which she occasionally transports by bicycle to a charity in the city. One day, he accidentally learns that some of the donations are being sold abroad by the leaders for big money. In desperation, he decides to punish the culprits. Then he meets Gavrilo and the two lonely rebels join forces to carry out their plan.

The film's protagonist, coming out of the pub, meets Jeremiah, a stoker who sells mysterious turtles. Who is watching whom? It is not known. "Fear is not born with a person, it is an infection that can be cured."

Zero Degree Turn is a 2007 television series, made through the cooperation of Iran, Hungary, France and Lebanon. The program was one of most expensive and elaborate ever produced by Iran and attracted a large audience there. It is based on a real life story about Iranian diplomat Abdol Hossein Sardari who saved Jews in 1940s Paris during the Nazi Occupation by giving out Iranian passports and allowing them refuge in the Iranian Embassy. Although it has been noted that neither character names nor the story are close to Sardari's story.

A kockásfülű nyúl (English: "The rabbit with checkered ears") is a 26-episode Hungarian animated children's series produced from 26 August 1977 on in the studios of PannóniaFilm. Created by the acclaimed children's literature writer and graphic artist Veronika Marék and animator Zsolt Richly, its protagonist, the rabbit with checkered ears quickly became one of the most prolific mascots of Hungarian animation.
