A single mother's struggle to support her child leads her into the surreal netherworld of illegal sexual enterprises, with her finally ending up in the Bibliothèque Pascal; an elegant but bizarre house of prostitution in which men can re-enact sexual scenarios inspired by great works of literature for a hefty fee.
1990. The regime change reached the small village of Borsod. The people are unemployed and get drunk in the pub day after day. Csornai, the former potentate, wants to be mayor, so he lobbies. Polyak, a sullen, philandering lathe operator in his mid-forties, lives with his mother. He has stolen his father's lathe, which he himself has worked on for decades since his beloved father's death, from the factory that was shut down. An American tourist arrives in the village with a metal detector and begins investigating the border. It turns out that his father's plane crashed nearby at the end of the war, and he wants to find it. The pub is immediately in an uproar and the investigation begins. They find the grave of the Americans, but not everyone is there. Csornai wants to make a big deal of it, so he starts investigating. But the story takes an interesting turn, and suddenly the American's cherished...
Yugoslavia, 1991. Far away from the war zones, Branka gets a job at the maternity ward of a state hospital. The young woman is all alone, but it turns out loneliness is not the hardest burden Branka has to carry. Newborns are disappearing from the hospital.

A Hungarian youth comes of age at Buchenwald during World War II. György Köves is 14, the son of a merchant who's sent to a forced labor camp. The movie is inspired by writer-director Márta Mészáros' own childhood. The film is a grim reminder of horrible days under Stalinist period when several innocent people were persecuted for no fault. A good film which allow people to know how people in Europe were tortured before second world war by dictators and authoritarian regimes.

The director of the animated feature film series is László Újváry. Ábel Kőszegi and László Újváry wrote the script, the music was composed by the band Kaláka and produced by Ferenc Mikulás. It first aired between February 18, 1984 and May 12, 1984. In Hungary, it was broadcast by M1, M2, Duna TV, Fox Kids / Jetix, Kiwi TV and Super TV2.
