Circumstances trigger concoction of desire and guilt, when secrets from past overcast Daniel's existence. He travels through his nightmares to introspect his sexuality. Daniel's survival turns into a mirage, as he finds himself muddled between homosexuality and pedophilia.
Ania and Edie are a lesbian couple who share their mutual passion for drag kings. They dress up as men and perform on stage. The film follows their everyday life and show preparations as they try to employ the very stereotypical, macho-like, aggressive masculinity for the drag. They fight to be together and fulfill their artistic dreams in such a conservative country as Poland.
A short documentary showing people working on railway tracks.
A portrait of the family life in the face of the mother’s passing away. Three growing children, including the film director, have accompanied the ill woman for good or for bad, while in the background there are incidents, incomprehensible at first sight, related to the conflict with the confrontational father. The documentary utilises the means typical for home video and the takes shot using a mobile phone, which are arranged into a non-chronological reconstruction of the state of mind of the three young people.
Olaf is 25 years old and lives with his mom and grandmother in a tenement house in the Kazimierz district in Krakow. Their home is actually quite dilapidated. Yet the young man dreams that the house in Brzozowa Street is the centre of the universe. The unique narrative is enhanced by a surreal impression of living in an abandoned house. Olaf notices metaphysical consequences of living in the vicinity of a square shaped like the “eye of god”: “There are moments when my mind transcends time and space” he says.
The concert "The Best of Maanam" took place in Krakow in 1994, where the band performed their greatest hits. The whole thing was recorded by Telewizja Polska and broadcast on TVP Kultura.
30 Sound Situations is a performance which maps the acoustic properties of numerous divergent environments. In each situation, the artist stands in front of the camera (at various distances) and claps two pieces of wood against one another with sweeping gestures. The resulting sounds relate directly to the presented spaces, including: classroom, library, staircase, woodshop, backyard, and park, among others. Waśko taps into various sound effects in order to examine the potential for creating a new representation of space in film.
