The villages of Vadul Rașcov and Rașcov (Transnistria) are separated only by the waters of the Dniester. For years, people communicated with each other without obstacles: getting married, visiting each other for baptisms or other family celebrations, and sometimes even for a glass of wine. Things have changed since the Dniester became a border river. A check in point appeared on the left bank, which controls and authorizes crossings from one bank to another. Ever since the bans were imposed, people go out on the shore and communicate by shouting because the "screaming" is not subject to prohibitions and does not involve any costs. Ana and Vasile Manea lived in their youth on the left bank, then moved to the right, while their children chose to live on the other side. Such twisted connections are plentiful in these two villages.

“I’ve been a robber, a thief, a thug. I blew my veins out, I drank, I drank and I fucked chicks. I never stole from the poor. I’m HIV-positive since 16 years. I’m repenting over time. I cleaned myself from my sins. I committed offenses but I never took a human life away. Not yet. Haven’t got an abortion either. These are mortal sins - and as for the others, I paid already. I’ve been the worst of bitches but in this life already I’ve seen the light. My name is Stela, I’m 42 years old and I spent 10 of them in jail. Chaos is my life.”
The mountain running documentary 10.000 Meters Up (La Cota 10.000) brings together two of the most beautiful things that we know: Romania and the mountains. Even though in real life the 10.000 meters mountain altitude mark is a utopia, the documentary follows an expedition among the Carpathians, running through Retezat, Fagaras, Bucegi, Ciucas and Ceahlau mountains, summing up 10.000 altitude gain in less than one week. This adventure became a story of trail running and carries the audience in fairy tales landscapes, revealing how high can we reach if we dare to dream.
