The plot takes place in 1880, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, following the lives of three strong and determined women. Aurélia, Maria da Glória and Mila are great friends who attend etiquette classes together, but life doesn't take long to put them in completely different directions.

The struggles biblical characters are confronted with.

Samson is a courageous man, strong, fearless, a Hebrew who fights many armies of his people enemies, and savage beasts; also, he keeps to himself the mysterious secret of his strength. He was born as the promise of being the rescuer of his people who were oppressed and persecuted.

Confined in a mansion in Sao Paulo, couples will have to face trials of endurance, skill and reasoning and, of course, test how much one knows the other. In the end, only the strongest couple with the best knowledge of themselves will win the competition.

In 1889, a conflict arose between the decadent and ruined rural aristocracy following the liberation of slaves and a new class of wealthy individuals, comprised of entrepreneurs emerging from the republican industrial class, interested in free labor. In the city of Ouro Negro, in the interior of São Paulo state, the conservative, aristocratic, and monarchist Almeida Santos family, which traditionally dominated the region, began to lose ground to the Lobo Ferraz family, representing the nascent progressive and republican bourgeoisie.
