Molètai is a small town in Lithuania with a dark past. On Aug. 29, 1941, Molètai residents, in partnership with Nazi officers, massacred the Jewish townspeople. These victims had been rounded up a few days earlier and locked inside the local synagogue without food or water. Around 2,000 Jews were then marched to the edge of the town and murdered. Locals dumped their bodies into a pit.

Daniel asks his teacher for permission to participate as well, even though his brother was not a war hero. The film by Yinnon Weil was a finalist at the Moscow International Children's Film Festival in the category of «Best Short Student Film» (2022).

Flam believes that art helps formulate and convey the most hidden feelings that otherwise remain unreflected, causing restlessness and anxiety. In this sense, the artistic form serves as a way to delve deep within oneself and holds a therapeutic function. The film by Flam reached the semi-final stage of the Student Oscars (2021) and was also honored with a special mention by the jury at the Bordeaux Short Film Festival (2022).
