Un cuplu de amanți trăiește o poveste de dragoste dusă până la limite inimaginabile. Pasiunea i-a cuprins complet. Sexul a devenit singurul lucru important în viața lor. Dorința femeii de a-și poseda bărbatul pare inepuizabilă și crește pe zi ce trece, ajungând să confunde plăcerea cu durerea.

Filmul lui Gibson spune povestea contestatarului adventist Desmond Doss, care a refuzat să ucidă sau să poarte arme datorită convingerilor sale religioase, dar a servit ca medic, alături de americanii care au luptat împotriva japonezilor în Pacific. Filmul se concentrează pe bătălia de la Okinawa din 1945, unde Doss s-a ocupat de unul singur de 75 de răniți, chiar sub focul inamic. A fost decorat cu Medalia de Onoare a Congresului pentru curajul său, de președintele american Harry Truman.

Ryōmaden is the 49th NHK Taiga drama. It was shown on NHK from January 3 to November 28, 2010 spanning 48 episodes. The story centers on the life of 19th-century Japanese historical figures Iwasaki Yatarō and Sakamoto Ryōma. It has been announced that the series will be aired in several other countries, for example Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.

Tanaka plays a rookie surgeon, Uchida an anesthetist, Kishibe the head of the placement service, and Ito the head of the surgical department of this institution.
