O parodie după legendele cavalerești britanice, între care un loc de frunte îl ocupă misiunea pentru Sfântul Graal a regelui Arthur. Acesta și cavalerii mesei rotunde, ieșiți parcă proaspăt dintr-un ospiciu, pornesc într-o călătorie inițiatică, nici ei nu știu de ce, călărind cai imaginari de al căror tropot e responsabil scutierul lui Arthur, ce se numește... Patsy. Ei trebuie sa facă față celor mai grele situații, să reziste fiorosului ... iepure ucigaș, apoi unui cavaler negru ce păzește un podeț peste un pârâiaș de 1 metru lățime și care continuă să lupte și fără brațe, dar și unor discuții pe tema rândunelelor migratoare sau a unor dezbateri pe teme marxiste.

O aventură epică, bazată pe legenda despre Sir Gawain, nepotul încăpățânat al regelui Arthur, care pornește într-o călătorie să-l înfrunte pe Cavalerul Verde, un uriaș ciudat, jumătate copac, jumătate om.

După asasinarea tatălui lui Arthur, unchiul său este cel care va prelua conducerea regatului Camelot. Alungat din castel și mult prea mic să-și mai amintească originile, Arthur ajunge să crească departe de împărăție, pe aleile întunecate ale orașului Londinium. Însă în momentul în care acesta reușește să scoată sabia din stâncă, viața lui se schimbă radical și este forțat să-și accepte destinul și să revendice coroana, indiferent că îi place sau nu.

În această repovestire lirică a legendei Camelotului, Lady Guinevere este sfâșiată între loialitatea față de soțul său și iubirea tot mai puternică pentru rivalul lui.
