After the Fascists came to power in Germany, a huge wave of Jewish emigrants headed there, which contributed to the city's thriving development. The film shows one of the world's most modern metropolises less than a year before the outbreak of the Second World War.

An animated documentary about WWII survivor, Grandma Zosia. With extraordinary distance and a sense of humor, she talks about the difficulties of the wartime and camp reality she experienced as a young girl.

The film, which was shot in the summer of 1981, was not edited until 1988. A triptych addressing the problems of the Polish countryside, depicting the fate of peasants in post-war Poland, from the decree on reform through all the turning points: 1956, 1970, and finally May 12, 1981—the day "Solidarność Wiejska" (Rural Solidarity) was registered.

Milena runs away from the nightmare of her family home to a nearby forest. On her way, she meets the Crone - an old woman living alone in the darkness of the forest, about whom disturbing stories have been circulating among people for years. The hermit does not let Milena go and follows her every step. The girl doesn't understand what this old woman wants from her and tries to find out why she lives in the forest and what she has done to make people afraid of her. She discovers the dark secret of the Crone only as a mature woman, when she returns to the past. Then comes the moment of transformation - Milena has the most difficult task to perform - facing her greatest fears and finally coming to terms with the past. The folk tale is set in the world of ancient Slavic beliefs.
