A Dying Leaf Should Be Able to Carry the Weight of the World is a visit to the botanical garden and museum in Cluj-Napoca, a journey through time and space, a discovery of plants with unknown stories, of plants that don’t exist anymore, of plants that can tell us as much about the past as they can about the future. Fossils, herbs and botanical illustrations are witnesses of the past, proof of evolution and change, but also prophets of what is yet to come.

After 30 years of marriage, my parents told me they were separating. I fell in love and started my own family during this painful process. The film explores the different shapes that love can take between parents and children and children who become parents.

Far from the communist gray, but still kept under observation by the Securitate, the philosopher found in this place the joy of talking about wisdom. In the modest room on the 1st floor of Villa 12, what we know as the "Păltiniș School" was born.

The documentary follows Doru Chirodea, the most unknown poet from Timisoara, whose activity begins in the United States, in the second half of the ‘80s, where he is known in some underground, non-academic circles, in the niche world of zines and independent literary magazines. Back in his hometown, he makes periodic book releases, published in a DIY fashion, in obscure and ephemeral bars, but with a core for a certain local bohemia, on the way to extinction. The film calmly reflects on this end of a lifestyle that already belongs to another era.

At the village pub, Philip meets a local celebrity, a nonchalant and extremely determined character. Gigi Meserie, a local musician, is undeterred by the pandemic. On the contrary, he manages to turn every opportunity into an opportunity. Gigi's goal is to convince the townspeople "to turn their faces towards us", the country folk.

A bunch of young people, more or less hippies, waste time at the cinema with a dull film. On-screen, a man lies on the railway and awaits his end. But at some point the screen and reality become the same. Edited without dialogue, with songs by the Velvet Underground and Nico in the background, this is a portrait of the young generation of actors of the moment.

An unusual attempt at cinéma vérité, in which people are asked if they are happy, while city lights flood the summer nights to the strains of a tender croon.
