Set in Alentejo in the mid-19th century, in the period following the Liberal Wars. In a sparsely populated and almost wild land, without shadow and without law, violence dictates the existence of Bando do Zarolho.

Based on Eça de Queiroz's 1875 novel, the plot takes place in Leiria, Portugal, at the end of the 1860s, and follows the story of the forbidden passion between Amaro, a young priest, and Amélia, "the most beautiful girl in Leiria". Tense, emotional and rooted in personality conflicts, the series takes a critical look at society and the church in Portugal, in Leiria in the 19th century.

We are in 1320, in the newly formed country we call Portugal. Isabel, the Holy Queen, is the wife of Dinis, the king, and mother of Afonso, the heir, both involved in a civil war that affects everyone.

The border between the North of Portugal and Galicia is the biggest drug entry point in Europe. History not only reflects the reality of clans but also engages in social implications.

Teams from all over the country show what they are worth, or not, in a Tv show that puts the country's classification upside down. Psychic whipping, goalkeepers in crisis, desperate players and bankrupt clubs cheer the sports program where all who go last are the stars.
