Dear Enemy tells the true story of the director’s grandfather who became friends with a German officer during the WWII German occupation of Albania while hiding a partisan, an Italian soldier and a Jewish watchmaker in his cellar.

Based on war-themed diary of Fadil Hoxha, the film tells the story of one particular phase of partisan revolution in Kosovo during WWII.

During WWII in Albania, partisans assassinate the collaborationist Colonel Makareci and destroy an enemy arsenal, but betrayal leads to guerrilla fighter Drita to be captured. When Pedro is ordered to execute her to prove loyalty, he reveals his identity and comrades mount a daring rescue, capturing the fascist police chief.

In 1908, some Albanian pseudo-patriots form a club, claiming that they are working for the good of Albania. Each of them has a dream: to be famous and immortal. One of them is Dr. Adhamudhi, a self-proclaimed healer and linguist, who has created a new Albanian alphabet he is waiting to sell to Skëndo Bey, owner of the Thessaloniki Club. Thinking highly of himself, Adhamudhi wants to know what will people say about him after his death. Zeneli, the servant of Skëndo Bey, takes this chance and plays a joke on Adhamudhi's exhausting desire for fame and immortality.

The two Albanian filmmakers Vani and Kaçi are invited to attend the Venice International Film Festival. They have been close friends since childhood until now on their 60's. At the beginning of the trip from Bari to Venice, they meet two actresses who working in the adult movies industry. From this moment on, the four of them continue the trip to Venice together wich brings a lot of turmoil for the unequal travel company of two conservative Albanians and two open-minded ladies with such different views of life.

Invited to a simultaneous chess game, Ilo Pinci, the specialist of fish and oysters, as well as a well known chess player, arrives at the small coastal town fully convinced to be better than the local chess players. But what makes his coming to this town even more interesting is his hidden desire to discover some technical and practical data on the oyster cultivation.

The story takes place in March 1999, Kosovo. It is the period of NATO bombing. Massive displacement of Albanians on ethnic basis. Terror, fear, insecurity and hunger have plagued the town of Gjakova.

In 80s Albania, the head of a village is very near retirement. And one day, Flutura, a teacher of the village, gets on his cab, and there was a glimpse of hope for a stable relationship with the young woman. Tom becomes subject of public criticism after Flutura's accident, because she jumped out of the cab fearing Tom's violence.

Besnik is a lonely shepherd and devoted Muslim, haunted by unfulfilled love. He is the son of a Catholic mother and formerly Communist father whom he takes care of in an Albanian village in the mountains. Up here, Christians and Muslims have found a way to co-exist peacefully. Even after the discovery that the old mosque used to be a church and that the building was actually shared by the two religions in the past, the calm of daily life can be preserved - with Besnik's help. After the death of his father, however, drastic changes threaten Besnik's multi-faith family and the shepherd is forced to seek his own path.

Children get ready to start the first grade. They start learning the first letters.

Math teacher Nora is transferred to work in the gymnasium of a coastal city. Edi, a pupil, openly wants an unmerited good mark in maths. Edi is the son of a director of the executive committee. Nora is worried and cannot agree with Edi and his parents.
