The All Ireland Talent Show is a Raidió Teilifís Éireann television series which was billed as Ireland's biggest-ever talent contest. It was first announced in November 2008 and the first series commenced broadcasting on 4 January 2009, completing on 15 March 2009. Modelled on Britain's Got Talent, it is produced by Tyrone Productions. Airing on RTÉ One, it was hosted by Daybreak features editor and Irish media personality Gráinne Seoige. Five judges take part and each regional judge, with the assistance of two other personalities who then disappear from the show, select five acts to be put forward to the live studio heats. In the second season this was changed to eight acts. Louis Walsh was approached to act as a judge before series one but refused to commit. On the opening night of series one, The All Ireland Talent Show had over 500,000 viewers, with Ireland only having a population of over 4 million people.. The opening is similar to the Got Talent series. The twenty-five finalists in series one competed for a first prize of €50,000, which was eventually won by the Mulkerrin Brothers of the Aran Islands.
The Den was the brand of the children's television strand on Irish public broadcaster RTÉ Two. It first broadcast on 29 September 1986 on RTÉ1, before moving to Network 2 in September 1988. The strand began to diversify throughout the late 1990s and the 2000s. It was also known as Dempsey's Den, Den TV and Den2 at different times during the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. In mid-2010, RTÉ Television announced an overhaul of all young people's programming, especially as Ireland moves towards digital terrestrial television in autumn 2010. This overhaul took place on September 20, 2010 effectively replacing The Den branding and to incorporate two new strands, RTÉjr and TRTÉ.

Marry Me is an Irish television series broadcast on RTÉ One on Sunday evenings at 20:30. A creation of Midas Productions and presented by Pamela Flood, each week she assists in turning an individual's dream marriage proposal, be it in a public or an intimate location, into reality, without the knowledge of their partner. The first series began filming in November 2007 broadcast in 2008 contained eight episodes. Viewing figures for the second edition were 450,000, placing 12th in the national television viewership figures of that week. A second series is in the making.

Each episode features a well-known sportsperson who revisits their old youth team and sets about reforming them for one final game within six weeks. Eight former athletes featured in the eight-part series broadcast in summer 2008. The athletes are equipped with personal trainers, nutritionists, coaches and physios to aid the players, health problems are explored and professional coaches conduct regular weigh-ins, blood pressure and lung capacity testing and suggest workouts and diets suited to the individual physiques of each team member. Each programme also focused on a particularly unhealthy individual, typically one who was clinically obese, had high blood pressure and some other extreme health issues. Their journey to a healthier lifestyle became the focus of the show. The series is produced by Stirling.
