จอมเลื่อยในตำนาน "เลทเธอร์เฟซ" ครั้งนี้มาสานความสะพรึงต่อจากต้นฉบับฝีมือของโทบี้ ฮูเปอร์ เมื่อปี 1974 โดยหนังจะเล่าเรื่องราวที่เกิดขึ้นในช่วงเวลา 10 ปี ให้หลังที่เจ้าเลทเธอร์เฟซยังคงหลอกหลอนผู้คนอย่างต่อเนื่องด้วยความโหดเหี้ยมอำมหิตและเลื่อยไฟฟ้าคู่ใจ ซึ่งผู้เคราะห์ร้ายประจำภาคนี้ก็ไม่ใช่ใครอื่นใด เป็นแม่สาวสวยทรงงามจากเมืองหลวงคนหนึ่งที่เดินทางมายังเท็กซัสเพื่อรับมรดกก้อนโตนั่นก็คือเคหาสน์หลังใหญ่ที่ยายเธอทิ้งไว้ให้ดูต่างหน้า แต่หารู้ไม่ว่าวิมานแห่งนี้มันเป็นโกดังที่รอเชือดเหยื่ออันโอชะของเจ้าเลทเธอร์เฟซนั่นเอง

“The Hours” เป็นเรื่องราวของผู้หญิงสามคนที่แสวงหาชีวิตที่มีความหมายและมีพลังมากขึ้น แต่ละคนมีชีวิตอยู่ในช่วงเวลาและสถานที่ที่แตกต่างกัน แต่ละคนมีความเชื่อมโยงกันด้วยความปรารถนาและความกลัว เรื่องราวของพวกเธอเชื่อมโยงกันและมาบรรจบกันในที่สุดในช่วงเวลาแห่งการรับรู้ร่วมกันที่เหนือจินตนาการและน่าประหลาดใจ

เรื่องราวครั้งนี้ค่อนข้างแตกต่างจากภาคแรกพอสมควร ที่คราวนี้ปู่รับดูแลเด็กสาวคนหนึ่ง คอยฝึกฝนให้เธอเอาตัวรอด แต่เธอเป็นใครนั้นตัวอย่างยังไม่บอกอะไรเรามากมาย แต่วันหนึ่งบ้านของปู่ก็ถูกบุกอีกครั้ง คราวนี้เป้าหมายของพวกมันคือเด็กผู้หญิง และพวกมันก็จับตัวเด็กสาวไปได้ นั่นทำให้ปู่ต้องคว้าอาวุธ ใช้ทุกสิ่งที่มีออกมาตามล่าอีกครั้ง สิ่งที่น่าสนใจก็คือ เด็กสาวคนนี้สำคัญอะไรกับปู่นอร์แมน แถมดูเหมือนว่าเจ้าพวกที่บุกมานี้จะรู้อดีตและความลับของปู่นอร์แมนด้วย มารอดูกันว่ามันจะเกิดอะไรขึ้น
