เมื่อเอเลี่ยนเข้าใจผิดว่ามนุษย์ต้องการจะเปิดสงครามด้วย จากหลักฐานสัญญาณการได้รับภาพบันทึกวิดีโอเกมส์ของมนุษย์ที่มีการไล่ล่าเอเลี่ยนอยู่ เหล่าบรรดาเอเลี่ยนจึงใช้วิธีโจมตีโลกมนุษย์กลับ ด้วยวิธีตามวิดีโอเกมส์นั้นๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเกมส์ตัวต่อเตอร์ติสถล่มตึก หรือ แพ็กแมนไล่กินรถ ประธานาธิบดีของสหรัฐอเมริกา รับบทโดย เควิน เจมส์ จึงต้องขอความช่วยเหลือไปยังกลุ่มเพื่อนสุดเนิร์ดของเขา แซม เบรนเนอร์ รับบทโดย อดัม แซนด์เลอร์ ผู้ที่เคยครองแชมป์การแข่งขันเล่นวิดีโอเกมส์มาแล้วในปี 1980 และ เหล่าทีมเพื่อนเก๋าติดเกมส์อีกมากมาย เพื่อมาช่วยต่อสู้ปกป้องโลก

ผู้บุกรุกชาวไวกิ้งพาลูกชายมาเพื่อแก้แค้น นินจาผู้หนึ่งต่อกรกับพี่ชายในศึกการสืบตระกูล และนักบินในสงครามโลกครั้งที่สองตามสืบเรื่องภัยคุกคามจากโลกอื่น

สืบเนื่องมาจากเหตุสยองที่เกิดขึ้นที่บ้าน ตอนนี้ครอบครัวแอ็บบอตต์ต้องออกมาเผชิญหน้ากับความน่ากลัวในโลกภายนอกบ้างแล้ว พวกเขาต้องเดินหน้าต่อสู้เพื่อเอาชีวิตรอดในความเงียบสงัดต่อไป ต้องถูกบีบบังคับให้เข้าไปเสี่ยงภัยในดินแดนที่พวกเขาไม่คุ้นเคย แล้วพวกเขาก็ได้เข้าใจในทันทีเลยว่าพวกสัตว์ประหลาดที่คอยตามไล่ล่าจากเสียง ไม่ใช่สิ่งเดียวเข้ามาคุกคามชีวิตของพวกเขา

หลังการต่อสู้กับบีรุสเทพเจ้าแห่งการทาลายล้าง โงคูและเบจิต้าก็ฝึกฝนพลังภายใต้การชี้แนะของวิซ ซึ่งเป็นผู้ติดตามของบีรุสอยู่ที่ดาวบีรุส ส่วนบนโลกซึ่งอยู่ในภาวะสงบสุข ซอร์เบกับทะโงะมะผู้เป็นเหล่านักสู้ประจากองกาลังของฟรีเซอร์และยังมีชีวิตเหลือรอด ก็กาลังเตรียมการเพื่อเคลื่อนตัวเข้าใกล้โลกและแสวงหาดราก้อนบอลมาชุบชีวิตนาย ซอร์เบคือลูกน้องของฟรีเซอร์ เมื่อไร้ซึ่งฟรีเซอร์แล้ว ความแข็งแกร่งของตนก็ถดถอย จึงชักนาให้ทะโงะมะมาร่วมมือกันเพื่อให้ฟรีเซอร์กลับมาสร้างกองกาลังอันยิ่งใหญ่ขึ้นอีกครา ในที่สุด ความปรารถนาอันชั่วร้ายที่สุดแห่งจักรวาลก็บรรลุผล ฟรีเซอร์ฟื้นคืนชีพ และวางแผนล้างแค้นโงคู และพวกพ้อง… ครั้นหวนสู่ชีวิตอีกครั้ง ฟรีเซอร์ก็ได้รู้ว่าโงคูมีพลังแข็งแกร่งขึ้นมาก ตัวเองจะนิ่งนอนใจไม่ได้ ฟรีเซอร์เผยความจริงว่าพลังของตนมีติดตัวมาแต่เกิด ไม่เคยผ่านการฝึกฝน คราวนี้จึงจาเป็นต้องสร้างเสริมและฝึกพลังให้กล้าแข็งยิ่งขึ้นเพื่อบุกโลกในกาลต่อมา

เรื่องราวเกิดขึ้นเมื่อครอบครัวเฮล ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วยเกรแฮมพ่อม่ายลูกสองและน้องชายของเขา ได้พบวงกลมประหลาดครอปเซอร์เคิลที่ไร่ข้าวโพดของตัวเอง หลังจากนั้นไม่นานก็มีเหตุการณ์แปลกประหลาดตามมามากมาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นน้ำในบริเวณนั้นเริ่มขุ่นมัวใช้การไม่ได้โดยไม่ทราบสาเหตุ สัตว์ที่เลี้ยงไว้เริ่มแสดงทีท่าเกรี้ยวกราดก้าวร้าว มีบางสิ่งบางอย่างกำลังเฝ้ามองครอบครัวเฮลอย่างลับๆในทุ่งข้าวโพด
