ในระหว่างที่ อาซานากะ โยโมกิ นักเรียนมัธยมปลายโรงเรียนฟูจิโยะคิไดกำลังเดินทางกลับบ้าน เขาได้พบกับชายแปลกหน้าชื่อ “กาอุมะ” ซึ่งเขาได้บอกว่าตัวเองเป็นผู้ใช้พลังของไคจู และในขณะนั้นเอง จู่ๆ ก็มีไคจูปรากฏขึ้นมา กาอุมะได้เรียกหุ่นยนต์ยักษ์ ไดนาเซน่อน มาต่อสู้กับไคจูที่กำลังโจมตีเมืองอยู่
